Why does chemical packaging need to be breathable?

Containers containing active preparations that are not properly ventilated can have serious consequences - such as bulging or dented containers, tray deflections, damaged labels and leaks, and, worse, expensive clean-up costs and customer dissatisfaction.

Containers are more risky when stored, transported or distributed. Due to the large range of altitude and temperature changes, the pressure of the container may be unstable or even burst. For industrial chemicals and cleaners, agricultural products, and household chemicals and cleaners, leaking or ruptured containers can cause serious harm to users and the environment—unless the containers are properly vented.
